01 The Vision
A website that feels the way Janece makes her clients feel.
Janece Simmons is a sharp, experienced Chicago broker with deep roots in the South Side community. She has the knowledge, the network, and the personality that her clients trust — and she was ready for a web presence that reflected all of that.
The goal was clear: build something personal. Something that communicated who Janece is, how she works, and why her clients come back to her. A site where someone could land, feel her warmth and confidence, and know immediately that they were in good hands.
02 What Changed
Same agent. A completely new first impression.
We started from scratch with a custom design system — a sage and copper palette inspired by Chicago’s brownstones and park-lined neighborhoods, paired with editorial typography that positions Janece as a trusted advisor.
The new site leads with Janece’s name, her philosophy, and her process — then gives a visitor multiple ways to contact her before they ever have to scroll past the fold. Every section is designed to build trust and make it easy for someone to take the next step.

The sage and copper palette was chosen because it feels warm, trustworthy, and distinctly Chicago — inspired by the brownstones and tree-lined streets of the neighborhoods Janece knows best.
Typography
- Display: Cormorant — an elegant editorial serif that positions Janece as a trusted advisor
- Body: DM Sans — clean, modern warmth that’s easy to read at any size
Design Language
Soft border radii, generous whitespace, scroll-triggered animations, and a film-grain texture overlay that gives the whole site an editorial, almost cinematic quality. Every transition is eased with custom cubic-bezier curves. Nothing snaps — everything breathes.
04 What We Built

Every section is built to move a visitor from curiosity to contact. The cinematic scroll experience, word-by-word text reveals, and strategic CTA placement create a journey that feels premium without being pushy.

- Strategic CTA Placement Phone number and email in the hero, after every service section, and in a sticky footer. A motivated lead is never more than one tap away.
- Personal Brand Storytelling Philosophy section, proof points, and an About section that builds trust — this site is unmistakably Janece’s.
- Mobile-First Responsive Every component built for 320px and up. Touch-friendly CTAs, readable type, and smooth performance because most leads come from phones.

05 Process
How we got from conversation to launch.
- Week 1 — Discovery & Design Direction Spent time understanding Janece’s story, her ideal clients, and what makes her approach different. Defined the sage + copper design direction and mapped out a site structure built around her strengths.
- Week 1 — High-Fidelity Prototype Skipped wireframes and went straight to a fully designed, interactive HTML prototype — real typography, real animations, real content. Janece could see and feel the site before any code was committed.
- Week 2 — Production Build & CMS Built the production site with every piece of content wired to a headless CMS so Janece can update her own copy, swap photos, and add testimonials without touching code.
- Week 2 — Launch Cross-browser testing, performance optimization, meta tags, Open Graph images, and a clean handoff document so Janece knows exactly how to manage her site going forward.
